The Campaign Coordinator will play a key role in forwarding the work of the Clean Rivers Campaign (for a description of the campaign, see page 3). The coordinator will be responsible for working with the Director of Strategic Campaigns and coalition partners to develop and execute strategies to win on the campaign’s issues. This will include planning and implementing ratepayer education, coordinating and overseeing public policy advocacy, and developing materials for the general public and coalition partners’ use on these issues. Much of the work in the campaign will be done by the campaign partners with the coordinator’s oversight. The ability to work closely with and support the leadership of others is therefore an essential skill.

Project Description: LAANE is currently seeking a full-time organizer for a campaign for equitable investment in a solar programs at the nation’s largest municipally-owned utility. The campaign is advocating for a community solar program that helps low income customers and renters save money on their bills while creating good jobs and reducing our environmental impact. The community solar campaign builds on a successful effort to dramatically increase investment in energy efficiency programs that help struggling customers save money on their bills, reduce our city’s carbon emissions and create good, career path jobs. The campaign seeks to support and expand a pipeline for entry level workers to career path jobs at the Department of Water and Power that was created by IBEW Local 18 and the utility.

Raise the Wage Campaign Director
The position is responsible for managing EBASE’s campaigns, coalition building, and solidarity work on low-wage worker organizing efforts.
