We seek a talented and motivated organizer to join the team as the Illinois Organizer of the national Jobs to Move America campaign. Jobs to Move America is a national project dedicated to ensuring that the billions of public dollars spent on public transit systems create better results for our communities. Jobs to Move America has a plan make our transit dollars go the distance — to build cleaner public transit systems, create and retain good American jobs, and generate opportunities for unemployed Americans like veterans, single parents, and residents of low-income neighborhoods.
Project Description: LAANE is currently seeking a full-time researcher for a campaign for more equitable investment in a solar programs at the nation’s largest municipally-owned utility. The campaign is advocating for a community solar program that helps low income customers and renters save money on their bills while creating good jobs and reducing our environmental impact. The community solar campaign builds on a successful effort to dramatically increase investment in energy efficiency programs that help struggling customers save money on their bills, reduce our city’s carbon emissions and create good, career path jobs. The campaign also seeks to support and expand a pipeline for entry level workers to career path jobs at the Department of Water and Power that was created by IBEW Local 18 and the utility. WPUSA | Working Partnerships USA
Working Partnerships USA seeks a Research and Policy Associate to join our team. This team member will support the strategic research, analysis, outreach, coalition-building and program coordination needed to move our campaigns for quality jobs, healthy communities, and equitable growth. This is a full-time, benefited position based in Silicon Valley.
Working Partnerships USA is a community organization bringing together the power of grassroots organizing and public policy innovation to drive the movement for a just economy. We build the capacity of workers, low-income neighborhoods and communities of color to lead and govern. Based in Silicon Valley, we tackle the root causes of inequality and poverty by leading collaborative campaigns for quality jobs, healthy communities and equitable growth.
Reporting to the Director of Organizing and Civic Engagement and working closely with other local and state organizations, the Lead Organizer is responsible for overseeing Working Partnerships USA integrated civic engagement and community organizing model. The Lead Organizer will recruit and develop leaders, lead civic engagement programs, contribute to campaign strategy, communicate and motivate existing and potential members, and lead pubic actions.

CPI seeks an organizing director. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to social and economic equity; collaborating with diverse community and worker organizations; and conducting effective organizing, outreach and the promotion of a comprehensive policy program.

Raise the Wage Campaign Director
The position is responsible for managing EBASE’s campaigns, coalition building, and solidarity work on low-wage worker organizing efforts. The Campaign Director will work with community, labor, and faith partners to to develop worker justice, electoral, and legislative campaigns to build towards a regional set of worker justice standards and enforce minimum wage and worker justice policies.
