Below the Radar: How Sea-Tac Airport's substandard working conditions hurt our region and how other major airports changed course toward growth and prosperity shows how other airports have raised working standards and lifted up communities. It examines the standards for wages and working conditions among five major West Coast airports, including Seattle's Sea-Tac Airport, San Francisco, LAX, San Jose, and Oakland. Thousands of Sea-Tac workers are paid at or near the state minimum wage of $9.19/hour, lagging far behind the airport living wage standards established by other major airports.
