Digital Organizer

Join the fight to take back our communities! United for A New Economy and UNE Action is seeking a Digital Organizer to build power to fight for social, racial and economic change in Colorado.

About the Position: The Digital Organizer is responsible for online engagement within UNE’s core geographies Westminster, North Aurora and Commerce City. The digital organizer will be part of a team of organizers and policy staff who will work together to accomplish the goals of UNE campaigns. The digital organizer will be responsible for outreaching and developing solidarity members and action opportunities related to UNE and UNE Action. This includes inspiring people digitally to be active leaders in their local communities.


  • Work with the director team to devise and implement a digital strategy with targeted messaging to promote UNE and UNE Action’s work with funders and member audiences.

  • Manage every aspect of online campaigning including (but not limited to) making a plan to solidarity membership recruitment plan; developing campaign communications messaging, strategies and action opportunities; writing content for email and websites; design graphic materials, video and draft content; and managing production of web ads, as needed.

  • Manage, update and track activity through UNE’s online database (Every Action) including metrics related to online actions and fundraising efforts.

  • Develop, plan and manage all social media outlet postings, events and communications, website

  • Test and optimize online tactics to develop data driven campaign best practices and increase campaign online presence and reach.

  • Increase online membership engagement of current email list.

  • Keep up with emerging digital trends and implement strategies, technologies, and best practices when necessary

  • Serve on at least one internal UNE/UNEA committee (RJ, LMC, etc…)

  • Participate in RJ trainings and activities

  • Attend any “all-staff” meetings, trainings or functions (including occasional evening or weekend events)

  • Other duties as assigned

Digital Qualifications:

  • Experience with online fundraising.

  • Experience with SMS advocacy/messaging. (Ex: Hustle)

  • Knowledge of programming languages: HTML, SQL, PHP, and others.

  • Knowledge of design programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and others.

  • Project management (website build outs, data migration, campaign planning, etc.).

  • Vendor management.

  • Photography, graphic design with prepress production background and video editing.

  • Bilingual or experience promoting content in multiple languages preferred.

  • Community Organizing experience a plus.

A progressive leader with at least three years of relevant work experience in the labor movement, non-profit or public sector, comparable experience or educational background that supports the responsibilities of this position.  Passionate, enthusiastic and visionary. Implements and drives day-to-day strategic communications and multi-strategy digital work.

The Digital Organizer is a member of the DNG Bargaining unit.
