Marisol Ramirez has been a staff organizer with OCCORD since 2013, but she’s been a leader in her community for much longer. She first began organizing with OCCORD as a volunteer while in high school, connecting her personal experiences with the broader struggle for fair representation at City Hall. Marisol served as a board member of OCCORD before transitioning into full time organizing. She leads our neighborhood unions and coalitions, and was a pivotal organizer both in our electoral struggle for district elections and our creation of a community-supported map of district boundaries.
Marisol was recently profiled in OC Weekly’s 2016 People issue, as ‘The People’s Organizer in Anaheim.’
