In 2015, we launched an ambitious goal for Partnership for Working Families. We wanted to make sure our work was truly impacting lives. That’s why we set out to see if we could improve the lives of 2 million people in just two years.
Through raising the minimum wage, securing paid sick days, pushing our cities to invest in public transit and green energy and fighting for the infrastructure we need, we’ve improved the lives of 3.2 million people.
We’re proud of the 2.9 million jobs we created or improved, the $17B we’ve influenced to go to strong community-supporting projects and the $65B we secured for new transit funding. But even better, is all of the lives that have been improved because people can now take a sick day when they need it, afford to cover their light bill and rent or simply have the transit options they need to be able to get to school or that new job.
We know we have a long way to go, but are excited to report that our work is changing lives.
